1992 Western Conference Finals: The powerful Blazers led by Clyde Drexler, Jerome Kersey, Terry Porter, Buck Williams & Kevin Duckworth took on the Utah Jazz. The Jazz led by Karl Malone, John Stockton and Jeff Malone fought hard as this exciting series showcased the talents of a team at its very peak versus a team on the rise.

May 24, 1992: Jazz set team record for free throws made whilst Blazers had 6 technicals called against them. Late 4th quarter run decides the game

May 26, 1992: Stockton injured late in first half but Jazz held bravely on to take the game into overtime.

May 28, 1992: Utah is undefeated at home in the Playoffs. Portland is 0 - 4 this season at Utah. Game was close until Blazers started to pull away in the 3rd. Jazz make a furious comeback that falls just a bit short.

1993 Western Conference Finals: The Sonics are the up and coming team in the West led by youngsters Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton, but this is supposed to be the Suns year led by MVP Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson and Dan Majerle. This series went the full 7 games where Barkley showed trup MVP style.

May 24, 1993: Team effort from the Suns helps them pull away in the 2nd half

May 26, 1993: Thrilling game as Perkins nails a 3-ptr with 9 seconds to go. Suns think they tied it and we're heading to OT...wait, is that a whistle I hear?

May 28, 1993: Crowd is going nuts in Seattle throughout a close game until Barkley makes his move late ion the 4th. Frank Johnson the unlikely hero of the game.

May 30, 1993: A game of two halves....

June 1, 1993: Majerle sets new NBA Playoff record with 8 three-pointers. None biiger than his 8th. Barkley with a monster game.

June 3, 1993: Back in Seattle as things start to get antsy between the two teams. Suns get frustrated and we're headed back to Phoenix

June 5, 1993: This was the Barkley show with career playoff high 44p and 22r in a thriling game 7.

1996 Western Conference Finals: Over the last few seasons Seattle were the team that should have been dominating but something kept getting in the way. In 1996 everything seemed to fall into place as they took on a team supposedly in their prime, the Utah Jazz. It was Kemp and Payton vs Malone and Stockton. It seemed now or never for the Utah duo but their time would come...

May 18, 1996: Utah came off a tough series and the Sonics were well rested for this one.

May 20, 1996: Jazz were ready to play from the start but as the game came down to the final 30 seconds and they didn't do something that perhaps they should have.

May 24, 1996: Back in Utah and the Jazz stepped up shutting down Kemp and smothering Payton with great D.

May 26, 1996: Sonics became a team in this game. Even though Kemp was in foul trouble all night long the Sonics kept up tenacious defense on Malone. Game came down to the final shot.

May 28, 1996: Game goes to overtime thanks to a huge Kemp block on Malone and a questionable no-call.

May 30, 1996: Emotional game for Malone as he plays his heart outand we head back to Seattle

June 2, 1996: The Jekyll and Hyde Sonics are finally going to the NBA Finals. Kemp and Payton were magnificent throughout in leading their team in this close, exciting game. Many wondered if this was the Jazz's last shot.

1997 Western Conference Finals: One of the great series of all-time. Olajuwon, Barkley and Drexler lead the Rockets while Malone, Stockton and Hornacek lead the Jazz. Decided on a 3 pointer buzzer-beater to send Utah to the 1997 NBA Finals.

May 19, 1997: Jazz had been resting for a week whilst the Rockets are coming off a gruelling 7 game series versus the Sonics. Malone received his MVP award earlier in the day as the Jazz cruise in Game 1.

May 21, 1997: The story of this series isn't about 3 future hall-of-famers on the Rockets but rather their 27 year old rookie PG. Can they hold off the Jazz?

May 23, 1997: Home cooking as Eddie Johnson gives the Rockets a huge spark off the bench. Game tied at the half and decided late.

May 25, 1997: Jazz determined to get the ball to Malone more but game decided with a 3 at the buzzer from an ulikely hero!

May 27, 1997: MVP Malone feeling the pressure and he responds big time. Three point shooting the downfall for the Rockets.

May 29, 1997: One of the most classic playoff games of all time. Drexler has a big game and the Rockets are up by 10 with 3 minutes to go and the Jazz start to chip away and eventually tie the game.... Stockton has the ball in his hands as the clock runs down...

1998 First Round: This was the middle year of this intense 3-year rivalry. In 1997 the Knicks seemed destined to win the seires until a fight had 5 Knicks suspended and Miami took control of the series. Here in 1998 the Heat were heavy favorites led by Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Dan Majerle but the Knicks were formidable with Allan Houston, Charles Oakley, Larry Johnson and John Starks. Miami seemed destined to win the series until a historic Game 4 that altered Game 5.

April 24, 1998: Knicks looking for revenge after 1997 but came out a little flat as the Heat rode the magnificent Tim Hardaway.

April 26, 1998: Heat take an early big lead but the Knicks respond with veteran Terry Cummings and order him to keep Alonzo off the scoresheet. Mission accomplished.

April 28, 1998: Series is taking a nasty streak following Knicks taunts in Game 2 and now the Heat's turn in this one. Leads on to game 4....

April 30, 1998: This terrific series will do down in history for this game and what happened at the end. The bad blood between Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson, stemming from their days together at Charlotte, spilled over into a fight with 1.5 seconds left in the game. Both players would be suspended for the deciding Game 5 but who would it hurt more?

May 3, 1998: No Mourning, no Johnson. Knicks build up a 20 point lead and the Heat battle all the way back. But, whose calm heads and solid play will win this game 5?

1999 First Round: It was a shortned NBA season due to the lockout and a revamnped Knicks team featuring new faces Latrell Sprewell and Marcus Camby, along with the regulars of Ewing, Houston and Johnson couldn't seem to get on track and stumbled into the Playoffs as an 8 seed. The Heat were a heavy favorite at number 1 again led by Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway this time joined by Jamal Mashburn and Terry Porter. The series goes the distance with a historic ending.

May 8, 1999: Sprewell was a huge spark off the bench and steady play from the Knick regulars pulled this game out.

May 10, 1999: What the Knicks managed to do in Game 1 the Heat did in Game 2.

May 12, 1999: The series continues its back and forth pattern as the Knicks ride a 32-2 run!

May 14, 1999: Another wacky game featuring runs as the Knicks use a 21-5 spurt to take an 11pt lead in the 3rd but the Heat respond with a 41-15 run of their own and off to game 5 we go.

May 16, 1999: Both teams had early runs that made this game level in the 2nd quarter. The game stayed close throughout to the famous ending of the shot off the rim... Off the backboard.... And....
