May 3, 1981: The Celtics had pulled off the best record in the East and were led by 2nd year Larry Bird, rookie Kevin McHale, Robert Parish and Nate "Tiny" Archibald. The Sixers had Julius Erving in his prime along with Mo Cheeks, Lionel Hollins, Andrew Toney, Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins and Bobby Jones. The Sixers had raced out to a 3-1 series lead but the young Celtics battled back in Games 5 and 6 to bring this to a memorable Game 7 at the Boston Garden.
